Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Friday [02/15].

So, the mushy holiday was finally over and Amaya had survived it not only unscathed (mostly), but also with a nice little uptick in business, which was never a bad thing. With a few new open spots on the weapons wall, she'd have to get to work in crafting something new and interesting to put up there, but that would have to wait until after next week; no point in getting starting on something that she wouldn't be able to finish, and maybe, like the last time around, the school trip would wind up sparking some good inspiration for her.

There was, however, still finishing up those throwing knife samples for Beau. She figured, if she'd gotten 'em good and sharp and presentable, she could throw together a display that would make it convenient for anyone looking for that sort of weapon to point out the ones they liked, give them a try, put in an order for a good handful. Maybe get Fjord practicing on making them so that it could stand as a nice little job that either of them could handle, should it come in.

And, hey, if not? Well, they were still mighty pretty just to look at.

The Forge is open!

Rosa was a woman on a mission, and pretty much stormed into the forge as soon as her class was over that morning, smacking her hands on the table where Amaya was working and leaning with a glare.

"Why did you get me an axe?" she demanded. "I thought we had an agreement."

That was...a fair point, but Rosa was still going to narrow her eyes in suspicion, because that hand was still a hand involved in it.

But she could now scratch off a second person from her list, though she really wasn't sure where to go once Blackstone was out of the running.

But Blackstone did know who it was.

Ugh. Interrogating people you actually liked kind of sucked. But she may be left with no choice. And that was all going to be up to Blackstone and whether she wanted to make this easy or not.

"Who was it, then?"

So, not only did someone buy her an anonymous impractical axe, but apparently they spent some good money on it, too? Gross.

Somehow, Rosa's glare managed to intensify, and she shook her head, faint disappointment wrapped in disgust.

"I'm gonna find out either way, Blackstone," she informed her. "Might as well just make this easier for the both of us and spill it now."

Yeah, none of this was really surprising for Rosa, considering all that she knew about Blackstone, and the were rather a lot of the things she liked about Blackstone...as long as they weren't interfering wiht her crap.

She sucked in a breath, considered the various tactics at her disposal, and held Amaya's gaze for a good, long moment, just to see if she'd break, knowing there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell.

Immovable object? Meet unstoppable force.

"You know I can just break in here and get what I need myself, right?" she said. "I know where you keep your records, Blackstone."

Rosa countered with a lift of her own chin. She sort of figured she knew Blackstone just about as well as Blackstone let anyone know her, so she thought it was a pretty good bet that this was just an empty threat, and that Blackstone had no real desire to take this up to the next level.

But Rosa might just be willing to take that risk.

"I'm going to find out, Blackstone," she repeated, just for good measure. "Some way, some how, I will find out. It's kind of what I do."
