Peter waved and said hi and everybody walked in. "Welcome back. I hope you all had fun in Iceland. This week I figured we'd watch something nice and sunny and hot for you all. Unfortunately most beach movies I could find are romances, so instead here, have something mostly set in a desert. And some hot chocolate, tea, and coffee to drink."

He waved them at the table.

Amaya had to sort of wonder why it would be so difficult to find beach movies that also didn't involve mushy stuff, but, at the same time, she figured she probably didn't want to figure that one out. She'd been at this long enough to realize that most movies seemed to think themselves incomplete if they didn't have at least one mushy sort of storyline, even when the movie would be perfectly fine (and arguably better) without it shoved in there. So, instead, she was just going to take advantage of the fact that she could hardly say no to coffee when it was available, and think herself rather clever by mixing it in with the hot chocolate.

Shh. Just let her have this one.

Yeah. Anyone who knew anything about Amaya's blossoming taste in movies would not be surprised to know that this one was definitely a winner for her. Action and adventure, a plot seeped in mythology, and a bold, impassioned, intelligent female character at its core? Check, check, and check! Much better than some mushy beach movie (which apparently was a thing...a thing she was quite fine not knowing more about. She'll happily take more mummies and monsters and fighting them any day of the week).
