Apparently, whoever was still on the island last week and was shopping at Turtle & Canary were complete a-holes. Because, as Summer went around the store to take some light inventory of the stock for the orders she'd been doing, she kept finding things in one spot that should belong in another spot. Usually stuff that needed to be kept refrigerated or frozen, like cartons of milk, packages of meat, tubs of butter and sour cream. And who could even tell how long they'd been there, resulting in the necessity of spoiling them out and throwing them all away.
"A bunch of animals in this town," she muttered, tossing away a half-melted pint of ice cream that she'd found sitting on a shelf near the pens and pencils. "The whole lot of 'em."
Which was more accurate than she'd intended, actually, considering that the misplaced items were exactly the work of those delinquent, bootlegger raccoons (and at least one alot of lack of inspiration).
