Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Sunday [03/03].
Amaya very rarely took days off; after all, there was always some sort of work to be done, and she enjoyed it, enjoyed it far more than she enjoyed being idle and not doing anything productive. But, if she were to take a day off, it was usually a Sunday. Sundays were good for maybe sleeping in, doing a little touching up on the window garden she'd finally got going, have some coffee, read a book. Usually, day like that, she almost inevitably started tinkering on something small and interesting in the afternoons, but it was mostly just something to keep her brain and fingers from atrophying or something like that.
Today, however, was an exception. Because she'd given herself that new big (in more ways than one!) project, and now she had a good insentive to make sure it was good and finished before Tuesday to make sure it gave the best impact when Fjord came in on Wednesday. That, and, honestly, even if she did try to have a lazy Sunday, all she'd be thinking about was that big gap in the weapons wall where there greataxe used to be and it was just going to keep nagging and nagging and nagging at her until she filled it back up again.
So back down to the forge it was, although she wasn't really working with the forge itself with this one. Weapon this size was far more about just shaping and sharpening. Well. Unless she were to take the individual blades seperately and then weld them together...
Oooh...yes. Yes! That.
...After this. There was, after all, absolutely no reason why she shouldn't attempt to tackle both approaches, right? Right!
Who needed days off when there was stuff to be made??
