The Onsen - Thursday
The day after the night before, Hernando decided Sparkle needed a spa day. Relaxing and soaking in hot water seemed the perfect kind of therapeutic balm. He remembered that there was an onsen and it was not even so very far away. Sparkle didn't exactly carry a set of swim trunks in his bag but he and Hernando were enough of a size that a pair of Hernando's would fit him. He managed to be a little sneaky and get those and some towels packed without Sparkle noticing. Though the bag itself earned him a raised eyebrow and a little grin. Sparkle was not so much a fan of surprises, no, but this one was not very hard to guess once they'd turned down the small sidewalk leading to the onsen.
Inside, they quickly changed to trunks and went to slide into the warm water. It was early yet and there were few people here. It was quiet and relaxing and that? Had been much of the point.
Hernando immediately sank in the water up to his neck when he sat down, leaning his head back against the wall with a groan as the heat flooded through him. He smiled up at Sparkle and waited for him to join.
[Onsen is Open! OOC warning: These two are going to be cute unto the point of sickening. You have been warned. Sparkle modded with permission.]

He would do no such thing. As could be evidenced by the way he was almost immediately stepping into the pool.
And then giving a sort of happy hum. And then sinking down to his own neck and closing his eyes and leaning back against the wall, too. Oh god, yes. He'd needed this.

"It seems to be the perfect weather for this, no?"
no subject
"I'm pretty sure any weather is perfect weather for this," Sparkle joked, leaning himself right on back, quite happily. "... I guess this would be maybe slightly too much in like the middle of summer, though."
He didn't know. He'd never really done the 'summertime hot tub party' thing. That would require a way of life that involved hot tubs.
no subject
He'd done his fair share of both. He'd had quite the social life once upon a time.
"I am going to melt into a puddle right here on your shoulder," he murmured a moment later when the heat began to sink into his muscles.
no subject
Which was tempting. God, this was nice.
no subject
Happy sigh. "This was necessary." Warm water. Warm boyfriend. This was good.
no subject
"Super necessary," Sparkle murmured with a small nod. "God, we need to do this more. Thursdays are Onsen days from now on, I have decreed."
no subject
Very yes. Water and snuggle time with boyfriend: two things he could definitely approve of.
no subject
"Also good," Sparkle agreed. "We can totally do that." He smirked a little. "I can bury you in the sand."
That was a thing people did, right?
no subject
no subject
"I have no idea yet," Sparkle laughed softly, "but I imagine it'll end with both of us having sand up our noses."
Which wouldn't be a great time, but the getting there very well could be.
no subject
Grit anywhere, good god.
"We could get one of those big fancy beach umbrellas and have a picnic on the beach," he offered in a contented mumble.
no subject
"Maybe I'll just bury your feet," Sparkle decided, laughing softly. "The picnic thing sounds nice. We could do it later in the day, maybe do a bonfire on the beach..."

"Boys," she greeted them, "How're you doin'?"
no subject
"Overall? This is nice," he offered. Yesterday's news was a muzzy sort of chewing at the back of his head at the moment, which was an improvement on 'immediate wracking guilt' like it had been shortly after Kaidan had delivered it. "There's an onsen, it's warm, who knew?"
no subject
"Yeah. Seivarden told me about it last night, thought I'd check it out. There were tons of hot springs all over Iceland and I kind of miss them now I'm back, you know?"
Hernando gave a small noise of agreement. Sorry, Jack, he was busy melting against his boyfriend's shoulder at the moment.
no subject
"I can see why this would be something to miss," Sparkle admitted. "I'm kind of disappointed in myself for not knowing this was here sooner. Like the holosuite in the apartment. I'm starting to wonder if I even ever actually get out of my room anymore. It's weird."
How did you not know there was a holosuite in the lobby of the building you lived in?
no subject
And some she couldn't, yes. That was what her OmniTool was for.
"Gonna do that at the school one of these days. That place is massive and real fuckin' weird. Gotta have some cool shit inside, right?"
no subject
"I mean, probably," Sparkle mused. "I've heard there's a locker that sometimes eats people, that could be fun."
Only on Fandom Island.
no subject
"Huh," Jack mused, "Good to know if I ever need to push someone into one."
Sparkle, really? You should have known better than to mention that to Jack.
no subject
"... Do you need to push people into lockers a lot around here so far?"
Sparkle was curious. So sue him.
no subject
"Not yet but I've only been here a couple of months," Jack smirked.
And then she didn't point out how having places to stash bodies where they couldn't be found was kind of a habit of hers. Sparkle didn't need to hear that right now.
no subject
Sparkle suuuper didn't need to hear that right now.
On a better day, he might have directed her to people with a knack for that sort of thing.
"... Point."
There were a few people Sparkle wouldn't mind throwing in a locker and walking away from, too.
no subject
"Still finding all the neat stuff on the island. It's all new to me," Jack grinned, "But it's pretty fuckin' sweet, the holosuite in the apartment. It's like having our own little Danger Room."
Only dumbed down a lot.
no subject
"I kinda love that it's there," Sparkle admitted, leaning to rest his head on Hernando's shoulder. "The starfield thing was neat. I might have to check that one out again."
Especially now that his memories were back and he was kind of getting his feet under him again.
