Trooper Station, Friday
Liam hadn't listened to the radio that morning, or he'd probably have a pretty good idea of why all the Troopers seemed to be walking on eggshells (not literally- he checked, this was Fandom after all) around him.
Calvin even brought him tea.
Liam winced a little as he eased himself into the chair at his desk. He was basically a walking bruise at this point, thanks, Beau. There were... a lot of reports to go through, after all the time he'd missed.
"Did you guys really subject Rosa to musical numbers?" That couldn't have gone over terribly well.
[ooc: opennnnnn!]

"Liam, what the hell?"

"Uh, sorry?" he tried. "Things have been kind of hectic lately. I haven't had a lot of time."

Things were sort of fragile, at the moment, but the two of them... they were still a pair.

"So, can we move onto your new look?" He gestured at Liam's face. "Not a good one."

He was particularly fond of the fact that she'd recognized exactly what he'd been after yesterday, and then had delivered.

"Probably," he admitted. "But I'm working on that too." He hoped.

"Oof," she said, once she spotted Kincaid actually at his desk this time, "did your face always look like that?"
And it was...actually an honest, genuine question, not an insult. She hadn't seen him in a while and Rosa tended to forget things like a cool person. And she hadn't really kept up on radio for the week because she still preferred to do it all on Mondays to be annoyed at everyone all at once instead of in little pieces every day.

But her frown seemed to take on something akin to actual concern. "You okay, though, boss?"
Rosa was actually asking and mostly kind of meant it. That's how bad it was, Liam.
Sure, she was still hoping he'd say yes and blow the question off, but hey. She was asking. That counted for something, right?
Besides this place clearly making her soft.

"I think you just managed to give me both by even asking that question," she noted. "Props on the efficiency."
Meanwhile, Rosa tried to weigh out which she hated more: getting the honest answer or polite conversation, and since both were terrible, she decided to just leave it with an awkward, "Well...if you need anything..."
Hey. She was trying, here.

Rosa quriked a brow. "So don't trust the drunken rodents and the idiots," yes, she knew she was sometimes one of those idiots, "who read their scribbles. I thnki I can manage that."
