There was, it seemed, a new problem making today at the post office an interesting one: static cling. Several large stacks of plastic-wrapped magazines had come in to be sorted and distributed, and a number of letters and cards were sticking to the plastic. The magazines were sticking to each other, for that matter, and any time Éponine got too close she found herself peeling her hair off a magazine wrapper.

After some consultation with a customer who also had to be peeled away from the magazines, Éponine ran over to the Kwik Stop and returned with a large box of fabric softener sheets.

At least it smelled nice and spring fresh in here today?
