Blackstone Foundry and Forge, Wednesday
If anything was at all out of the ordinary today, Fjord had yet to really notice. He felt pretty go-get-'em today if anything, which he was going to just attribute to excitement about his class being headed off to sea next and then the more or less relaxing dip he'd taken in the onsen after class yesterday. Hell, he was downright excited to be getting to work today. If he couldn't go home, coming here was the next best thing.
Yeah, this? This was good.
... See if he'd keep thinking that, or if that would change in the next thirty seconds, there.
[OOC: ... I mean, I'm not saying I paid up this account just to upload sixteen more icons for today, but I totally did. Open!]

"'Morning, Fjord," she said, because some things really couldn't change. "I reckon coffee's not going to cut it today; let's you and me see about getting this day started with a good old fashioned rumble."
[[god bless you, random icon day]]

"Why the hell not," he replied. "I haven't had a good throw-down in far too damn long, and adrenaline gets the blood pumping a hell of a lot better than coffee anyway."
This was going to end in eldritch blasts and horror, just watch.

To be fair, Amaya seemed to have random wrenches easily on hand at any given day, and she handed it over easily to Fjord, with the strangest pang of confused disappointment, because, she'd be honest, she didn't know what had gotten into her, but she was kind of looking forward to getting a few punches in on Fjord and seeing just how good he punched back.
Ah, well. Perhaps another time. Apparently, that door really needed attending to STAT.
no subject
...
There was probably now more wrong with the hinges than there had been a moment before.
no subject
Which was strange, because she'd have likely normally been impressed by that sort of thing.
"Not how you use a wrench, Fjord," she told him. "In fact, I'm pretty sure that's about nearly the damn near opposite of how you use a wrench, Fjord."
no subject
... Sorry about that door, Amaya. Fjord would fix it when he was feeling less randomly and thoroughly aggressive.
"Eldritch blast!"
And just saying attack names. Like a nerd.
no subject
And challenging Fjord to a spar first thing in the morning got him all riled up real quick.
Good to note, though she was a bit too busy reacting with a
shockinglyappropriate gasp."Fjord!"

And the owner of that eye said, in a voice that was everywhere and nowhere and all in their heads all at once:
... Happy Wednesday, huh?

Luckily, she was surrounded by weapons.
Unfortunately, out of all the very fine weapons at her immediately disposal, the one she actually grabbed was nothing more than a frying pan tied to an old, rusted, broken sword handle, but...hey, it would do the trick just as well as any of the others.
"Take that!" she shouted, leaping forward to send the makeshift weapon down on the big glowing eye, really show it what's what around here.

"... Problematic how, Fenris?"
And was he sure it was just the hotel?

... Oh, look. Fjord was drowning.

It might have come along with a summoned falchion and a handful of glowing green energy. Fjord was clearly having A Day.
"Something's completely messed up here!"
For one thing, he seemed to keep seesawing between totally fine, suddenly aggressive, and drowning. Possibly his first hint things were off.
... He'd blown up the supply closet door earlier. Today was going well.

Later that day, after classes...
Re: Later that day, after classes...
He smiled.
"How did class go?"
Re: Later that day, after classes...
Re: Later that day, after classes...
A pause, and then in a splash of seawater, he summoned his falchion.
"But if anything else does show up in the supply closet, we've got it handled."
Re: Later that day, after classes...
Just ignore the fact that they'd really only gotten a few good hits in before this or that generally distracted them until they remembered, right. Dragon in the closet.
It was rather nice, too, of the dragon, to just wait for them to do their thing.
Re: Later that day, after classes...
Just to make sure it understood that they were serious, here.
"You wield a mean frying pan."
Re: Later that day, after classes...
And it happened, just like that, mid-sentence, Amaya Blackstone found herself significantly shorter and furrier, with floppy ears but the same bright blue eyes.
Twitching her nose, she huffed slightly, thinking this wasn't really much of an improvement on a boar. No one got nervous when cornered by an angry rabbit.
Well. Except in that one movie...
...she'd just have to be like that rabbit, she supposed. As i this was anything to worry about. Because, clearly, she'd be changing back to normal in just a few seconds.
Re: Later that day, after classes...
Fjord regarded her for a moment, not terribly worried. After all, things were changing so much today that of course she'd be able to answer him in just a moment.
