Now this was more like it! Between today and yesterday, Amaya really felt like she was getting back into the swing of things (...get it? Swing? Because of the hamm--oh, nevermind), with everything back to normal and how it should be. And she really wanted to make up for all that lost time on Beau's weapons, but, at the same time, she knew a good job couldn't be rushed, and she always wanted to do a good job. She was just going to have to plan on putting in a few extra hours this weekend to help things along a little.

Oh, no. A few extra hours. How would she survive?

Honestly, she'd put in the hours even if she wasn't trying to play catch-up, if only because it was so nice getting back to work again. And she worked with the confidence of a woman who knew that, after a week, she definitely had some sort of grace period ahead of her. She probably shouldn't have to worry about any inconvenient transformations again for a good, long while now...
