Devil's Nest: Wednesday Evening
Jack rocked on in, caught the keys, and did the stock order without anything weird happening.
She didn't trust it.
The newest DJ came in. His hair was frosted and spiked, he was wearing sunglasses indoors, the flannel over his t-shirt had been tailored and the rips in his jeans had stitching around them to keep the artful frays in their designated areas.
Jack shot him a look of pure poison and snapped, "No love songs, no girl or boy bands," Tiny opened his mouth and Jack shot him a look that made him close it with a snap before she continued, "no grunge, no soft rock. Tonight, you can play metal in any flavor you want except acoustic. Grindcore, deathcore, metalcore, Swedish screamcore, black metal, crustpunk, Viking metal, goregrind, pornogrind, electrogrind, power metal, thrash.. as long as it's metal, got it?"
The DJ put his chin in the air, "Grunge is metal." "Grunge is garbage," Jack fired right back, "Grunge is a baby genre that wishes it was metal but lacks the discipline to get there. The weekend sucked. I want this place pounding with the kind of music that lets people get out big emotions. I want bass lines that you can feel. If you can't do that, get out and I'll throw my Spotify playlist in."
The DJ slunk to the booth and began setting up. Sure, he could do that. After he loaded Spotify and added some metal.
[Devil's Nest is Open!]
[OOC: Jack's views on anything do not necessarily reflect my views. This was an argument I overheard at the grocery store and it was kind of perfect for Jack logic.]
