The island was quiet. Norman would allow himself a moment of silliness and add a 'too quiet' to that, in fact, though of course that could be attributed to the break between semesters, to people going home or elsewhere, to the whole small town vibe going on out there and the calm that always came in the days following a holiday.
Of course, that meant it was quiet at work, too, which meant Norman really had nothing better to do today than clean.
