Trooper Station, Friday
Liam had woken up that morning with a dull throbbing in his palms that radiated up the energy pathways in his arms. By the time he made it in to the Trooper Station, it had progressed to a full-on headache.
Which of course meant that today would be the day that there was some sort of rhythmic drumming in the station coming from... somewhere. So far the Troopers hadn't had any luck tracking it down. On the bright side, Calvin had pointed out, it was only in the main area of the station. The sheriff's office, cells, interrogation room, were all drumbeat-free.
Liam just sighed and went into his office, turning off the light and for once, actually shutting the door. He was still here if anyone needed him, just so long as they knocked lightly.
[ooc: and despite the narrative i am around and in DESPERATE need of entertainment as i run around doing last minute trip prep.]

Didn't take her that long to realize that was a stupid idea.
"And no one knows where's that's coming from?"
"You're the detective; you figure it out."
So have fun with the whole station basically being turned inside out by the time you emerge from your special little drum-free cave there, Kincaid. Because the longer Rosa went without being able to find it, the more determined she became.
And frustrated.

Liam sighed and got up, opening the door a crack. "What is going on?" he asked.

And Rosa's head disappeared again, followed by what could only be described as a saw on metal.

"Could you," he managed, during a break in the noise (well, relative break, considering the drums were still going), "Maybe. Try looking for it quieter?" he pleaded.

And then the sawing continued. Just...much slower. Like someone trying to saw as quietly as possible.
Look. These possible secret compartments inside the desks that might be hiding the source of the drumming weren't going to reveal themselves, Kincaid.

"If you need a break," he offered. "S'quieter in here."
Also significantly darker. There wasn't really a lot of work getting done in his office today.

And Rosa was stubborn, random drumming noise.
Thankfully for her, these things were usually on a time limit.

“All right,” he sighed. “Well. You know where I’ll be.”
