Peter was struggling with the DVD player when people arrived tonight. "Hi, everybody." He gave them a short but genuine wave. "Sorry about last week, and sorry about this week, because apparently I don't get a say in what we're watching tonight."

He gave the player a baleful look. "I think it wants to be topical. Or it thinks it's funny. Tonight's film has to do with dinosaurs." He sighed. "I think you're all good, but if anybody does want an extra weapon on the way home, just let me know."

He let it play.

For a week where far too many things were not the way they were supposed to be for Amaya's tastes, getting back into movie night felt like just the sort of thing she needed. So she's be helping herself to some popcorn and a drink because that was just how things were done, and hoping that, at the very least, the video stuff should be working just fine, but, if it just so happened that it wasn't, for Reasons, and they were reduced to just a sort of primitive puppet show instead....she'd manage. She'd be a bit disgruntled about it, but she'd manage.

Fjord and the popcorn weren't great friends. Too many kernels to get caught in his teeth, and Fjord was not in a comfortable enough place yet to start picking at his tusks in public, no.

And so it was drinks tonight, mostly. He didn't have much in the way of a sweet tooth, either.

Maybe a bottle of water?

Hell, he was overthinking snacks.

"Hi, Fjord." Peter smiled. "Are we missing things you like to eat?"

"Evenin', Peter. Ain't nobody's fault there," Fjord offered, smiling a closed-lipped smile and shrugging a bit. "Popcorn's been fine, I'm just... extra picky lately."

Yes. Picky. That was the direction he was taking this.

Jack was bored so she headed over to the community center to see if the movie was playing. It was. She snagged some snacks and a soda and found a seat.

Liam hadn't seen Jack in a while, and given her comments on the radio the day after the Welcome Picnic, he figured he ought to at least go over and say hi. Prove he was still, in fact, in one piece and all.

So here he was! Coming over to say hi.

"How's it going?"

Was Jack going to reach toward his face to check for fangs? Yup.

"I mean, I'm good. I'm not the one of us who let a fucking vampire gnaw on them, Liam." Also, hi? "Did Steve bring you a casserole too? Cuz I'm gonna keep giving that man shit until he does."

It had been a while since Liam or rather, his player had had the time to head over to movie night. But he had a rare free evening and so here he was!

He spent a while musing over the snacks, making a mental note to bring a container next time so he could take some leftover popcorn home for the mice. For tonight, though... popcorn for himself, as well as a couple handfuls of M&Ms dumped into said popcorn.

"It has," Liam acknowledged. "I kept meaning to stop by last semester, but..." he shrugged Mondays kept being crazy from an OOC perspective. "Hoping I can at least manage it more often during the summer." Because the social aspect was- kind of nice, actually. As was getting to see all sorts of films he'd never had the chance to experience firsthand.

You know...a more insightful, reflective Amaya might have been a little disturbed about dinosaurs attacking and eating people after her current bout of also attacking and attempting to eat people, but...

...nope. This? Was great. She didn't even care that they either looked like Skols or dragons made by someone who sort of forgot how to make dragons. They were eating people, and the people who got eaten pretty much deserved it (she felt bad about that trainer fellow, though), and it was thrilling to see who might else get eaten, barely any mushy stuff, maybe even a bit of a cautionary tale in there, too.

It was a good way to start this session. But she might be a little more careful going home tonight, too.

But he was totally there for giant reptiles eating lawyers.

She was nonplussed right up until the brachiosauri appeared on screen and then she was whooping with delight. "I need to find one of them! Ohhh.. or a Triceratops! I need to ride a Triceratops!"

Jack maybe needed better hobbies.

"I really do," Jack confirmed with a grin, "It's my goal this week to ride all the big ones. How many opportunities am I gonna have to say I ever did?"

Amaya wasn't going to be so distracted by dinosaurs eating people on the screen to forget that she intended to talk to Peter at some point. "Hey, Peter," she said, nodding, lifting a hand in a sort-of wave. "This might sound a bit odd, but I was wondering if I might swing by your place after this to pick up a change of clothes for Seivarden. Don't know if you heard at all, but she's a cat right now, and has been for a bit. And, knowing the nature of these things, that means she's likely to turn back any day now, and I figured it wouldn't hurt to be prepared to make that transition a little easier."

Starting with, if her own transformation was anything to go off of, banning her from any and all shelves.
