Fandom High 20 Year Reunion Brunch, The Park, Sunday Morning
In case anyone hadn't gotten enough socialization in yesterday, brunch was set up in the park, complete with the... tasteful decorations from the mixer.
There was plenty of food, plenty of hot coffee, and plenty of tiny dinosaurs running around hoping to catch someone drop something tasty. What more could you ask for?

Arrive/Mingle
Re: Arrive/Mingle
It was time to get some snacks and people-watch.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
Either way, she was bummed a Rick-related emergency (surprise, surprise, but, seriously, how did he just so happen to know the moment she was on Earth again??) kept her from the mixer last night, but she at least made it back in time for brunch!
It was kind of nice to be back again, though, and it would be interesting seeing who might actually be alive and not, you know, dead and stuff.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
"Summer." He smiled and gave her a nod. "How have you been?"

... Not that he'd looked like he was anything less than casually into the whole thing before, but it was the thought that counted. He'd even... well, not shaved. The facial hair situation had never been this bad before. But the beard had been whacked down to something that looked vaguely presentable and intentional.
"Okay, brunch, how's your food situation?" he wondered aloud as he swaggered into the brunch.
Re: Arrive/Mingle
And hopefully one in particular; maybe he'd missed her last night? He couldn't imagine how, but...maybe, just maybe...
Food and Drinks
Re: Food and Drinks
There was hardly a reunion aspect for someone who'd stayed on the island these past twenty years (sure, being Fandom's resident blacksmith had made her go a bit grey prematurely, but the business had never once stopped rolling in, so, with the exception of a few bold ventures here and there, she'd pretty much stayed put; she was, after all, just a small town gal trying to sell affordable shields, swords and maces at heart), but it would be interesting to potentially see some old friends and customers while also getting free food in the mix.
Re: Food and Drinks
Soooooo tempted to grab a bottle of hot sauce, too, but, oh,man, the regret would be STRONG down that route....
Re: Food and Drinks
The cheer in Owen's voice was entirely mock, these days, even as it drifted in from a little while's away.
Re: Food and Drinks
...it almost felt as if he didnt have much of a choice, really.
"Oh, come on, man," Prompto groaned a little, managing just a sigh, keeping an eyeroll out of it. "I went to school here, too, you know."

Tables
Re: Tables
Since no one had kicked her out yesterday, today Nina was at one of the tables, scribbling notes in her diary and taking pictures of people she hadn't seen yesterday while keeping an eye out for people who were super old but who might be old versions of her current friends.
She also had a naked gremlin cat cuddled up on her shoulders. Nina's hair was not nearly as warm as Vette's leks but that wasn't stopping Miss Dozy.
Re: Tables
The real question was whether he should say anything. He felt he almost owed it to her, considering....
"So that is you," he started, finally deciding to get up a d je'd over and gave her an awkward, apologetic, strangely grateful sort of smile. He wanted to add that it was good to see her again, but then he'd have to explain, and so he just rubbed his chin a little, shaking his head. "Man, this place. Can't even get timelines for reunions right...."
And, again, that awkward smile that seemed to be trying to apologize for the world. "Hey, Nina."
Nope. This wasn't totally weird at all!!

He'd still be able to lay out a dinosaur with a punch if it got too pushy, though, because Steve was still Steve, too.
Re: Tables
Well, Tony had taken a little time to sort through some ~emotions~ and all that shit and was now going to be a real adult and not pick a fight as he sat down across from Steve. "Nice to see your fashion hasn't changed."

Re: Tables
despite the ironically reuinion age-approprite icons, a bit to realize something was going on that weekend. He'd been sort of keeping to himself, for the most part, but it was hard not to notice something going on in the park. Who didnt love a good Sunday brunch? So he would be getting some food, finding a spot, and doing some people watching.....people watching that caused more and more doubtful squinting the more he did it. He hadn't been here long, but he'd been here long enough to get that prickling at the back of his neck that something weren't... quite right with all this...
Re: Tables
So she was going to wave in his direction, as he people watched.
Hi, non-old buddy!

Edges of the Park
Re: Edges of the Park
He'd spotted a flash of familiar blonde hair the other day. That was enough... that was. He should probably...
Whatever.
He had a plate full of food and he was lurking near the edge of the park, badly missing the protection of his Javelin.
Re: Edges of the Park
The white eyes were off-putting and the scars told an awful story, but when she'd matched up his other physical characteristics...
Well.
When she spotted him near the edge of the park, Nina gathered her nerve--no laughing and joking about having been forgotten for this one--and wandered over.
"Owen????????" she asked, a bit tentatively, because while she was pretty sure she was right... she didn't want to be right either.
What had happened to him?

Much.
Look, he was nominally 'friendly' with Alucard and therefore couldn't be the most sullen person around. Such was life.
"Christ, I should have asked Sypha to come."
So he could hide behind her insatiable curiosity of this place.
