Well, the vet had called in sick today, something about 'swimmer's itch from hell' after an attempt to rescue a duck trapped in some reeds at the park yesterday had gone a little sideways. Besides that, though, things seemed to be pretty normal at the shelter when Zack arrived for his shift. The chickens were all accounted for (or at least the ones that had been accounted for by the end of last week), none of the animals seemed to be suffering from radiation poisoning, and nobody was a dinosaur.

Okay, the dinosaurs had been pretty cool.

A few of the animals did seem a little more agitated than usual, but Zack was going to mark that one up to still being antsy after last week, and then give them extra treats and toys and cuddles to help them relax a little.
