When the Troopers slated for the morning shift arrived, it was to a station that was- well, not quite deserted, because of course there had been a couple of their brothers working the overnight shift.

But the sheriff wasn't there. He usually beat them to the shift changeover by a good hour or so.

Another hour passed, and still no sheriff. No answer when they tried comming him either. This... wasn't good.

The Trooper Station was open, if somewhat quiet and subdued today due to the fact that the sheriff was nowhere to be seen.
