The Park, Friday Afternoon

So what if it was raining here and there on Kanan today? It wasn't like the gray of the rain changed much about the state of the island in general, after all, and Stance was having a grand time throwing himself at puddles to make up for the complete lack of being allowed to go out last week. He had a lot of lost time to make up for!

And a vesty-vest. For swimming.

Kanan, meanwhile, had staked out a place under the relative cover of one of the park's larger trees, and he had his lightsaber out so that he could run through forms with it. Rain or no, he wasn't passing up the opportunity to enjoy the outside before Force-only-knew-what got back to trying to kill them again next week.

Significantly. The only strangeness this week is that the color all seems to be missing.

This was sent with a photo of Stance, looking rather like a normal dalmatian, chasing the most dreary looking flamingo the world had ever seen.

Then, The lack of color, not Stance. Stance is perfect.

At least he doesn't seem to know anything's different. Overall, I'm counting this week a win.

He won't let me take him for walks without it. He used to beeline for the leash, now he runs for the vest.

He really didn't need a leash, anyway. When you could communicate with your dog through the Force, what was the point?

his priorities have gotten more fun. I wonder if that will change in the winter.

He definitely likes the snow more than I do, I think that will depend on how stubborn the ducks are.

If they stuck around or not.

He'd have a hard time with the pond frozen over, anyway.

Ice is to be appreciated from afar anyway. Or at least from a stone's throw away while a dog is utterly failing at navigating it successfully.

Ice isn't much better on a slope. But at least a hill would be easier to de-ice.

I really should have put something together that I could melt things with as I walked.

... Kanan's first thought was not a flamethrower, no.

That would be incredibly slow.

But it would give you a little traction until the ice melts.

And would be less likely to light the island on fire!
