Atlas Gym, Monday (7/1)

It had been a pretty good weekend, but now it was Monday, and back to work. And Beau had a lot on her mind today, not the least of which was wondering what fresh hell the island had in store for them this week -- she'd gone on an early morning run today and come across a creepy, unfamiliar stone gate out in the Preserve already, and now she was suspicious, and also she was just going to be avoiding the hell out of that.

If only that would become a good habit she cultivated for the future, steering clear of ominous, unsettling gates in strange places. If only.

Anyway.

Beyond that, there was also the prospect of coming up with ideas for the mini-vacation she and Karolina had been talking about, and of course her recently ramped-up efforts to see if she could find a way to get Fjord home. So far she had way too many ideas for the first thing, and way too little success with the second, but between the two Beau was spending a lot more time on her phone than usual.

Doing her job, yes! But also on her phone and trying to multitask. It was at least partly successful.
