Bucky'd been keeping to himself this week. Not that that was anything unusual. Wasn't that most weeks, most days? Still, this week was different. Everything about the nighttime spelled danger and the daytime wasn't that much better, what with the smokey skies and impending sense of doom flooding in from the mainland.

But by Friday, Bucky was also going stir-crazy and so he headed out, just to stretch his legs and maybe clear his head a bit. He was more successful with the former than he was with the latter. His head didn't feel any clearer and he'd already been all the way to the western most part of the island and back again. Just walking.

Except, right now, he stopped. Right outside the movie theater. Looking up at the marquee, seeing it advertise something he'd never heard of. Thinking back on some memories that felt so faint they might as well have been second-hand stories.

The place looked like it was closed today. Bucky was not surprised, but found himself vaguely disappointed. With a sigh, he decided to stay right here for a moment, anyway. Look at the posters out front for a little bit.

Breathe.
