After a whole mostly normal week, Tony was suspicious. But in a very 'I'm not being paranoid, you're being paranoid!' way that meant he was just fiddling with things in the shop.

Because that was how he dealt.

Luckily, he also had an adorable puppy to constantly stop from chewing on wires to keep him busy.

After figuring out the time situation, Rey made some decisions, which led to her coming back to a place she knew.

"Hello?"

Patriot noticed her first. Mostly by losing his absolute fucking mind as he happily barked and wiggled his whole body rather than a normal tail wag.

Just go with it, Rey.

"Hey, sorry," Tony said, going to scoop the dog up. "He's still in training."

"No, he's fine," Rey assures him. "Can I pet him?"

Because she deserved dogs at this point.

"Of course," Tony replied with a smile.

Hopefully she was okay with all the licks.

Licks were totally fine! It was part of what made dogs dog.

"I didn't come here for him, but he's a bonus," she said, giving all the pets. Just all of them.

"Oh? Did you need anything?" Tony asked.

"A job, actually, if you have one available," she said. Hopefully.

"Oh!" Tony beamed at that. "Of course. What day works for you?"

"That was easy," Rey said, and she was happy about that, believe her. "I did Sundays before, I don't know what you have now."

"Well, it's nice to have you back," he replied. "And Patriot likes you. Which replaces a resume."

"Which is good, since I like Patriot and don't have a resume."

She wasn't totally sure what one was, actually!

Well. She picked the right place to work then.

"Nothing really has changed here... island willing."

"Yeah, I've heard about that," she said, making a face. She wasn't looking forward to Monday and she didn't even know how bad it would be yet. "Anything I need to know about? In here, or... out there?"

"I'll let you know, but it's been quiet?" Sort of? "In a way?"

"Normal for Fandom?" Rey guessed.
