The Magic Box, Tuesday
So, Norman had a class on Tuesday mornings first thing, now, which meant that he was maybe a little bit late getting to work. Which meant that the moment the door was open, he was being bowled over by a three-headed dog who had been waiting, darn it for Norman to get there and he'd been ages and ages longer than he usually was, which meant that the first hour of Norman's shift was spent catching up on playtime with all three heads, and while he certainly didn't mind catching up on playtime - dogs were pretty great, even when all three excitable heads shared one bonus excitable butt that had a tendency to knock over displays when that tail got to wagging - it did mean that he essentially lost a whole morning of work, and he had stuff to do.
Studying, mostly. It wasn't like the magic shop was a terribly busy shop, either, with the exception of the cat who still sometimes came in to do shopping for the ghost who liked incense burned in the graveyard, even though Norman still hadn't figured out how he managed to get that incense lit.
And he was too polite to ask, really.
He did manage to get a NOW HIRING sign up in the window, though! It didn't really feel like much of an accomplishment, but it did involve him actually talking to people if anyone wanted a job, so. A+ gold star business management skills right there, right?
Right.
Man, he was really going to have to think about switching his shift from Tuesdays, though.
[OOC: Open! This week is looking extra crunchy at work, so SP is pretty much guaranteed today.]

She watched from a hiding place until Norman was bowled over by the doggy and then she struck. She darted into the store silently - which she shouldn't be able to do but she did anyway because she wanted to and that changed a tiny bit of reality for her for the moment - put the cup with his name on it in multicolored markers because the Perk staff really were very nice when she asked them for things like that but anyway she put it on the counter and then darted silently right back out. To hide again but to peek over something so she could watch to make sure he got it. She wasn't sure doggies could have cocoa, after all.
[you don't have to interact, she had just planned to cocoabomb you so have some cocoa]

Norman did, in fact, get it! Not long after he'd managed to get the trio to go occupy themselves with a extra long rope-pull toy, a few minutes after he'd picked up a book about necromantic theory, around the time he went to settle himself behind the counter. He'd blinked at it at first, looking around to see if there was a customer who he'd managed to miss or something, but then he noticed the name.
And smiled a little, reaching to take it.
Aww.
