Luke's - Sunday
Jack wasn't doing radio this term but she didn't see that as a reason not to stop by for her Sunday coffee. She was wearing a green tree boa around her neck like jewelry because, hey, Fjord was pretty and also hell if she knew whether he drank coffee in this form or not but she'd offer him some anyway.
The busboy and cook wouldn't make eye contact. Kanan..
Wasn't there. That was worrying and also.. kind of not. It wasn't the first time he'd been yanked offworld with no notice to go help someone, after all. Still..
"Where is he?" Jack asked flatly, mostly worried those two had played some prank and locked him in the freezer with the Mynocks or something.
"We don't know," the cook said timidly after a moment, "He's just not here today." He brightened, "Hey! Kanan's not here! That means we can make whatever we want!"
"So long as it's pancakes," Jack said cheerfully with a sunny, sunny smile.
The cook quailed and shrank from that smile, "But he's not here!"
"But I? Am. Pancakes," she said in a tone of finality. She reached over and helped herself to the pot of coffee and poured a cup, then poured a tiny bit into a saucer for Fjord. Who didn't seem interested. The cook muttered but he put up the Specials board.

Funnyface Pancakes
"Right on," Jack said approvingly, "And if the plans for those funnyface pancakes all happen to have brown hair and a chinbeard, lemme tell you right now there's a new guy who fits that bill and he might not be so tolerant as Kanan."
The cook's pout was a little epic. The busboy appeared to be trying not to laugh.

[OOC: Shannon's not able to log in to DW and has spotty internet due to the hurricane damage to NS. I offered to open Luke's for him and Bella let me. Fjord modded with permission until Shannon's back online.]
