The Park, Friday Afternoon
Last night, a very large wolf had gone to sleep behind some machinery in the scrapyard.
This morning, a very naked Jedi had made a bolt for the Ghost in the wee hours of the day, snarking back at the orange astromech who was blatting his amusement at him and making him open the door his own damn self.
... By the early afternoon, Kanan was clothed and had managed to salvage whatever scrap of dignity he had left, and so he'd made his way to the park with a spotty dog in a swimming vest who just couldn't resist occasionally making his way back to his person to have a sniff, because Stance was sure he smelled a whole lot of wolf, there.
Kanan wasn't training, not just yet. Kanan was enjoying having thumbs back and throwing a ball for Stance to chase all over the place, at least until someone showed up.
Hey, some Fridays were more laid back than others. It happened.
[OOC: I am... mostly back! But replies will probably be scarce until early evening, this week, and hopefully I can start pulling the rest of my pups out of their animal shapes soon.]

"... Well, I think one of Hera's scrapyard staff fed me a dog treat at some point, but other than that, not bad?"
Wolves were pretty laid back. Particularly when they were taller than nearly every other living creature on the island.

It had been an interesting week.
The island was down several rabbits.

Which was... something. Lothal kept popping up in his life. He was trying not to think too hard about that.
"I think I prefer the wolf."

[Whee, comment weirdness!]

He'd missed having thumbs, though.

"I wouldn't put it past you," Jack smirked, "Because you can be a pain in the ass. Nah, it's good. You okay now? No lingering urge to sniff butts or anything?"
Jack, ew.

They weren't bad, okay?

"Good call, rabbit's tasty," Jack bobbed her head in a nod, "Way tastier than skunk. 'Swhy it's one of the game animals commonly thrown on a planet during terraforming if a meat-eating species is gonna be on it, back home. Provided the habitat can handle the breed rate of the little fuzzy bastards. The meat's better when it's cooked." Beat. "Just trust me on that one."

And really couldn't fit in a kitchen.

"Yeah, human-you would have to worry about liver flukes and all sorts of other fun pests," Jack said easily. Then blinked, "Wait, so.. wolf-you didn't have like, Force shit? No thumbs and no Force abilities? Just how balls was your weekend?"
no subject
"... You know, I never noticed."
Because Loth-wolves were very much tied in to the Light side of the Force.
"Never really thought about it."
Because he had been a wolf.

And, it so appeared, he would not likely be getting much closer today, as he eventually made his way over to the park and noticed there was a bit more going on than the ducks and the flamingos in the pond. Not htat he ever let anything like that stop him from napping before, but he could easily find himself being more sociable than sleepy at times.
With the expected flutter of his haori, he settled...claimed, really, or perhaps invaded...one of the park benches (he did like to sprawl), pouring himself a little bit of sake and taking particular note of the colorful dog with the jaunty
vesty vestvest and wondering if it would turn out to be rather wise on the ducks' part that it seemed they were giving the pup a wide, wide berth.no subject
Kanan chuckled and shook his head, trailing along not far after.

"Now what's that you have there ♥?" he asked the dog. "Do you come bearing gifts ♥?"

He tossed it in the air; he was going to toss it to his other hand, but no point in getting both slobbery, so he just caught it with the same one.
"Or should I...just...simply put it away in my pocket ♥?"
And he moved his hand slowly toward the inside of his robe to see what reaction it might get out of the pup if he thought the ball were to go away, with no intention at all, of course, of putting it anywhere near his pocket.
"For safe keeping ♥?"

Kanan, meanwhile, was standing back a few paces and watching with a little smirk. The man certainly didn't seem to mean any harm, at the very least. Even if there was something... much about him, something strong, that made him pull a double-take.
Not the first exceptionally strong individual on the island, he mused.
Still... intriguing.

And as the dog went
presumablytearing off after his prize, he turned his amused smile toward the man he'd notice following after the dog. "Yours, I assume?"no subject
"We belong to one another, yeah," he agreed. "Some days it's hard to tell who actually calls the shots between us."
Though, for the record, Kanan had absolutely been alpha wolf all week. Mostly because Stance was far too friendly to try to claim that particular position, really.
"Kanan Jarrus," he added, offering the man a handshake. "And the little guy is Stance."
