Luke's Diner, Saturday

Miguel's assistant Lyla had all but shoved him out the door this morning, insisting that even mad brilliant scientists needed food (and fresh clothes and showers, not in that order). He scowled at his 3D tablet the entire way to the diner, then slouched into a booth and absently ordered a coffee and scrambled eggs. He could eat with one hand while hid Did Science with the other.

There seemed to be some sort of discussion going on behind the counter, but Miguel barely noticed it and certainly didn't care. He didn't care about anything that wasn't Science.
