Blackstone Foundry and Forge, Thursday
So, there was some kind of visitors-to-the-island thing coming up tomorrow. Didn't matter a whole hell of a lot to Fjord. It wasn't like he even knew anybody who might come visit him.
Not being able to contact his own damn world didn't help that, any.
Was he coping with this by beating the shit out of a piece of hot metal over an anvil?
You bet he was!
When in doubt, be productive.
Violently.
Look, he was in one of the few places of employment where he could get away with it. He was taking full advantage of that.

And waking up on Thursdays to the sound of Fjord already at work downstairs was a strong indication that it would be a pretty good day.
She'd almost feel bad interrupting, but...coffee.
"Morning, Fjord!"
no subject
Sure, she'd probably only been up for about as long as it took coffee to brew, but it was still polite to ask.
no subject
She really should be better about remembering that she had an office.

Fjord? Was pretty grateful he'd more or less given up on teaching again, ever.

They were not terribly practical classes.

Or was that just the part of it she'd focused on because of course it would be?

The jury was still out on whether he thought that one had been a total flop, or just mostly a flop.

Of course, Shunsui hadn't even gotten her name, much less know where he could find her outside of movie class, but, thankfully, he had a lot of sake and the squirrels were very helpful once he'd offered them plenty.
And wouldn't it figure that he had
oh-so-convenientlymade his way to the forge where they'd directed him once she was out?"Ah...." he said, once he, with an armful of roses, walked into the forge and looked around and didn't even bother hiding how crestfallen he was to not find Amaya there. "Errr...I think...maybe those squirrels have steered me a bit off course..."
They had been snickering an awful lot when he'd asked, now that he thought about it...

Looked at the man.
Looked at the roses.
And then gave a little snort and picked up the hammer again.
"Pal, I don't think you have any idea just how off course they steered you. Lookin' for someone in particular?"

"... She expectin' you?"
Since she had left him to tend the forge alone for the afternoon, even odds were she either had no idea she was going to be accosted by a man with flowers, or she was well aware and fleeing.
And since the man didn't seem to know her name, Fjord was putting the smart money on the first.

He worked for her.
"But if you can't even tell me her name, I ain't so sure I should be just handin' out her whereabouts to strangers. You understand, of course."

He'd been to a whole two of them!
He intended to go to the last one, but had discovered an exceptionally good nap instead.
"But that's fair Perhaps, then, I could ask a favor of you? Might I be able to entrust it to you to ensure that it finds its way to its lovely intended recipient ♥?"
In fact, Shunsui liked this plan better, it was far less work for him and saved him some sake. Not that he ever really minded sharing with the squirrels, they were hilarious.

And then brought the hammer down on the metal on the anvil. Because it was there and he was doing his damn job, okay?
"Guess I could do that."
The man spoke in ♥hearts♥, clearly he was unhinged. But Fjord had to admit he was at least a little curious about how Amaya would take, 'some weird guy who doesn't even know your name left some flowers for you and called you a bunch of mushy shit.'
