Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [11/21].
There was a new fluffy kitten in residence at the shelter that week, it seemed, and Prompto, who definitely always considered himself more of a dog person, was still totally already in love, because this little ball of fluff was also an adorable ball of fierce rage, who decided to make it a personal vendetta to try to attack all of the bigger dogs in the most precious way imaginable.
Fairly used to rambunctious other animals, the other dogs just seem to let the new cat do its things until it exhausted itself into the cutest sleepy pile of fur ever, and, having gotten to witness all of that, Prompto was definitely having a 'love my life' moment right now.
Granted, it was Prompto, so it was likely a very fragile and easily swayed moment, but it was nice while it lasted.
Furndado is open!

"Somehow this is the first time I've been in here," she noted.

He realized he was a little bit biased, though, but come on! Who in the world wouldn't love all these animals? The puppy pen alone...!
"But hey!" he remarked. "You're here now! What's up, Sabine? Are you looking to get a pet?
He sounded way too excited about that prospect, but, well, it was kind of their main thing here, finding homes for all these little dudes, and he could definitely see him hooking Sabine up with a relentless attack kitten. Oooh! Or a chameleon.
She totally needed a chameleon.

She'd have been an easier sell before she knew she could literally pick up and leave at any time. Which was a shame, because she would be the perfect person for an attack kitten.
"I came to bring you something."

Which he felt opened up a good window for her to back out if it was, indeed, a bogus something.
But he couldn't even imagine that, so they were probably good.

You know, like a month ago.
She handed over the folder, which was protecting a watercolor painting of him riding a carousel pegasus. Because some things needed to be immortalized.

"Ohmygod," said Prompto, after giving Sabine a curious sort of look before flipping open the folder, and immediately laughing. And going incredibly pink. "Okay, wow. That's awesome."
And kind of embarrassing, really, because she'd actually taken the time to make that! And, sure, it was Sabine, making art was what she did, but there were about fifty million better things she could have spent that time and talent on, and he really didn't know what else to say.
Well, except, looking back at her with a grin he couldn't help even with the awkwardness he was feeling, "Thanks, Sabine. You'd didn't...I mean, that's...err, um." He laughed again, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, and just thought it would be best if he stopped trying, leaving it off with one more conclusive, "Thanks."

Then he sort of preened a little, lifting his chin and squaring his shoulders loftily. "I'm glad it turns out I could be such a inspiring muse!"
Ahhh, mock bravado to cover crippling insecurity. A classic!

You're welcome for the subject change!

"Pretty hard to paint something that never stops moving," she said dryly.
She loved this cat?
