Trooper Station; Monday [12/02].
A lot of times, Rosa liked to bring her dog with her to the station because it was good for Anna Pavlova to get out of the apartment for a bit, she liked the company, and she might even go so far as to think (but not say) that she actually kind of loved that dumb dog.
But she lived on this stupid island, which meant there were times when it was an absolute necessity to bring Anna with her to the station. Because tehre was no way she was leaving that dog alone in an apartment where there seemed to be chocolate behind every door, especially when that dog seemed set on exploring and opening doors today.
The training was getting a full work-out today, too, as, naturally, for some reason, all the locks on the the troopers' lockers were busted, thus giving the dog (and anyone, for that matter) easy access to the chocolate that was no doubt lurking behind the doors. The air was ripe with the tension of the ongoing battle between the effectiveness of Rosa's stern Russian commands and the wibbliness of Anna Pavlova's big soulful pleading eyes.
"Trust me," said Rosa, who was now compensating for the denial by having sent Ralph out to pick up a bag of jerky and was now luring the dog away from the lockers with it. "It's not worth it."
And, to make thing fair, she was putting a ban on anyone eating the chocolate. Even though she honestly wasn't sure anymore if the troopers even ever ate.
