Rey was trying to get work done while also trying to keep an eye on her little gremlin assistant who seemed really interested in the candle. She'd tried passive warnings, like "I wouldn't do that if I were you," but they still kept wandering over, and it kept making her nervous.
"If I bring you a candle thing next week will you stop going over there?" she finally said.
This seemed to do the trick, and she kind of had to wonder if that wasn't the gremlin's plan all along.
