Furnado Animal Shelter Thursday [01/02].

Prompto spent a lot of his time at the animal shelter with the dogs; this was undeniably true. And usually, it wasn't a problem, since most of the other animals didn't really need or even want that much attention. The fish kind of did their own thing in their tanks, same with all the gerbils and hamsters and other little dudes like that. He mostly just sang a little with the birds and that seemed to make them content enough, and the cats usually didn't want anything to do with him because they much preferred Sidon, although that was mostly because he was pretty sure they thought Sidon was food.

And then, there were the snakes, which Prompto usually ignored, and they usually ignored Prompto, too, so it worked out for everyone, but it seemed that today, they were feeling a little bit more...erm, social, and kept slipping out of their tanks to surprise him.

Prompto didn't usually even like regular surprises, much less snake surprises, and so the majority of his shift, instead of playing with puppies, was diving deep into How To Prevent Snake Surprises research.

Which, really, only made it worse, because the snakes just managed to sneak up on him even better when he was all deep in figuring out how to keep them from sneaking up on him!
