Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday [01/23].

Look. You can't expect Prompto to have a class about putting hats on birds and follow it up with his shift at the shelter and not expect it to turn into him putting hats on all the other animals at his disposal. Especially not when the hats involved in class yesterday were incredibly easy to make, and literally every animal in this place was a million times better than a freaking turkey, which no one could convince him weren't bastardized daemon versions of the most majestic creature to ever wark on the surface of any planet ever, the magnificent chocobo.

Needless to say, all the animals were getting fezzes today. The cats would summilarily dismiss them, knock them off, and sit on them, the lizards with tiny fezzes were possibly the most amazing things ever (even if they were lizards), and Prompto may have been contemplating just how to get fezzes on the fish, but he might need to consult with Sidon for that one.

This was, clearly, an excellent use of his time and resources.

Anakin was being dragged into the shelter that afternoon by an extremely excited--and tall for her age--ten year old girl. "They're all wearing haaaaaaaaaaaaaaats," she squealed.

"Meet Juliet," Anakin said dryly. "She's glad to be here."

"They are all wearing hats!" Prompto agreed, beaming instantly and bouncing over from where, despite the claims and observations being made, there was a kitten boldly refusing the hat that Prompto had just put on its head for about the fifteenth time.

Still, it was nice to have all your hard work appreciated!

"Hi, Juliet!" he offered. "I'm Prompto! Did you come just to meet all your new neighbors today, or are you looking to help out?"

Because there were so, so many more fezzes to both make and distribute!

"I want to help, please," Juliet said. "I have a ton of experience. We've had a puppy since before I was born. And he's always a puppy."

"Vampire puppy," Anakin explained. "Who flies. It was a birthday gift for my wife when she turned 16."

"Awww," said Prompto, although it might have been a little more reserved than normal because, while getting your wife a puppy for birthday present was the greatest thing ever, he needed a little bit of time to figure out how he felt about the vampire aspects. Which meant he was a little hesitant about asking, "He's probably a good puppy, too, right? Maybe you should bring him over one day? I know these boyos over here love new friends, but only if, you know, he's good at playing with others."

Please don't let your puppy turn all the other puppies into more vampires puppies, Juliet. Prompto had no idea how these things worked, but he would really appreciate that if it could be avoided!
