It was a quiet enough day at the shop, so Sabine had already done all the work that there was to do, which meant she had her sketchbook out and was doing one doodling.

Maybe she was considering going back to the range for some practice, just to test it out.

Maybe she could clean again?

Lana walked in the door with two cups from the Perk in a holder, grinned at her and held them up. "I got that milk from home. The barista was handwavily happy to make lattes with it when she heard why I was doing it." For some reason.

"And what did you say was the reason?" Sabine asked, setting her book down with a smile.

"To make a point to a tea-loving instructor." Lana handed Sabine one cup. "I didn't drink mine yet, either; I thought we could try them together."

"Thank you," Sabine said, taking the offered cup. And of course she had to peek under the lid. "Oh, this is much better."

"It certainly looks right," Lana agreed. She toasted Sabine. "Well, here we go." She took a sip, then sighed happily. "Oh, so much better!"

Sabine tasted it, then made an approving noise and decided, "This is how they should have been doing it all along."

Even though the milk was brought in from another planet.

"I wonder if we could convince them to add it to the menu as an option," Lana mused. "Unless you've had luck finding someone with the machine to make them?"

"No, but I have found a wonderful selection on Amazon," Sabine said lightly.

"They have them there?" Lana shook her head. "Silly question; they seem to have everything. Are they reasonably priced? I hate that you can't bargain here."

"There are one that aren't too bad. I don't have a problem springing for it and then just taking it at graduation." Guess what, there were gonna be lattes on the Ghost now. "What does Sith negotiating look like?"

"Like everybody's? Try to talk them down, say you could get better things somewhere else, they should be honoured for your business. They'll say then go somewhere else, they can't possibly sell for less, they have a family to see to. Eventually you settle in the middle and everybody's happy."

Lana shrugged. "Well, that's how I do it, anyway. I'm sure there are some Sith who just take what they want and throw money at a merchant if they're lucky, but that's not how an economy works." Arrogance be damned, that was just stupid.

"I feel like you'd be a more successful haggler than most," Sabine admitted. "Because you put that kind of thought into it."

"Doesn't everyone?" Lana asked. "How would you haggle?"
