Fandom Post Office, January 28 (Tuesday)
The post office, one might note, was awfully ... blocky today.
That would be because, as Éponine discovered upon arriving this morning, all the fixtures in the lobby including the computers and cash registers appeared to be made out of Lego bricks. (Inexplicably, the computers and registers still worked despite not having any apparent keys or buttons.)
Even her coffee mug was a Lego piece today. Éponine didn't really mind any of this, though; she could amuse herself building other little things out of the spare bricks, since there was a bucket of them left on the counter. (Stuck to the Lego studs on the counter, because the bucket itself was also made of Lego, but details.)
Had she found herself to be made out of Lego, she would have been much more put out by the whole thing. You couldn't do a thing with those hands, at least not anything she had to do ... pertaining to work at all, really. Or most functions outside of work.
Anyway, she was fine, she still had functional hands for sorting the mail, and the computers did look awfully funny like this. That would at least keep her amused for the rest of the day.
