Pixie Dust (formerly Demon Marcus), Wednesday
"It goes on and on and it's all mine!"
Years ago she'd found the paperwork that had revealed that the old name of the shop had been Pixie Dust and while Sparkle had never seemed to mind being named after a demon… Alluka was definitely going with the cuter name which meant that Demon Marcus was out and Pixie Dust was back in.
Alluka set Mr. Bubbles, her giraffe, down on the counter and looked around at her shop with big eyes.
It was overwhelming but in a good way? She remembered Kathy walking her through what money even was, just a few years ago, and now she owned a shop… Alluka looked around at the racks and racks of clothes, at the fitting rooms, at the shoes, and purses, and gloves and just so much more and took a deep breath, feeling both very young and very grown up all at once.
"Okay!" she said to Mr. Bubbles. "We've got a lot of work to do, so let's get started! First we'll start with tea and snacks and then we'll change the sign and then we'll start by giving the whole place a really good clean and then we'll start with inventory…"
Mr. Bubbles didn't answer her but just saying it out loud to him made her feel a bit more centered. While she knew that Dante and Kathy and Ringo would have done anything they could to help her, she'd wanted to try and do this herself, first, so she hadn't told them ahead of time. She'd managed to come up with the plan to buy the shop, pay for it, and get the keys all by herself. She could do this. She could.
"Let's get to it!"
