Atlas Gym, Monday (2/10)
Look, Beau was not new to this place, okay? She knew what was going on before she even left her apartment to head to work this morning.
... did she really have to be at work? Really? Probably, because she was trying to be a responsible person or whatever, and she figured she might as well get that attempt in early in the week when trying to be a responsible sort-of-adult had a slightly better chance of succeeding.
She was just gonna ... be over here doing pull-ups in a more maniacal way than usual, just to try and burn off all that energy that she really wanted to be putting to use in a much less fit-for-public-consumption manner. But then of course, her usual habit of working out until it hurt was going to be a problem when the pain kind of turned her on, so ...
Well, she'd help people if they needed it, but she was going to do so extra grumpily today. Because argh. Also she was just going to be avoiding Yasha this week. For reasons.
[OOC: And of course, the post and the gym are open.]

"Morning," she said to Beau as she walked past her, over to the punching bag.

Today was going to be a busy day, probably.

The first punch hit the bag hard, the second one harder. Having a face she could imagine punching made it even better. There was no need to hide her ancillary speed or strength on the island, so Breq didn't hold back.

She'd just leapt up to perch on top of one of the course walls when she stopped to watch.
"Nice," she called, which was meant to be a genuine compliment, but instead came out like the way you said the word in response to someone else saying 69. Though to be fair, the likelihood of that happening to her on a regular day was pretty high anyway.
How much longer did she have to be here again? Because she really wanted to go home and — yeah.

Breq didn't pay much attention to the tone in which it was told.
"I was about to say the same."
She hadn't, but she had noted.

"Just some new shit I've been working on. You're not a regular here, are you? I don't think I remember seeing you around when I'm working, but I also don't pay that much attention to the customers, so..."

She snorted. "Didn't this happen just a few months ago?"
