Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Thursday [02/13].
With the exception of a small but appreciated interruption earlier in the week, Amaya had successfully managed to channel all of that jumbly, itchy energy into some consistent, productive work. Not exactly her best work--she was definitely hammering for quantity over quality at the moment--but it was good work, physical work, exhausting work....and distracting. Needed. Last night when she was settling in, she found herself wanting to read something with romance over something about mechanics or metallury or historical battles, and that...well, that just did not sit well with her.
So it was definitely back to the hitting the anvil hardcore that day, driving away any suggestion that she might ever, ever prefer mush over substance.
[[ why, yes, I already posted the forge this week, but I have PLANS, okay? With...myself. Don't judge.
But it is absolutely totally open for other things, toooooo! ]]

And he didn't even have to break the Squishy machine this time to do it!
"Ahhh, Movie Class-chan ♥!" he said as he burst into the shop with the usual flutter of robes and hearts. "Wonderful, you're here ♥! Just the radiant little blacksmith I was hoping to find ♥!"

"Of course I'm here," she murmured. "It's my shop. And what other...." She made a face as she said it. "...'radiant little blacksmiths' would even be here?"
It wasn't like she had an apprentice anymore!
Although the idea of that phrase being used toward him was...
Nope. Nope. Not allowed to think about any of that, this week or any other.
She sighed, threw her head a little to get the hair out of her face, and looked at Shunsui planitively. And sort of wished she hadn't, because looking at people right now meant immediately noticing that they were actually attractive.
"What do you want, Shunsui?" she asked, as levelly as she could, though her huskiness was not working in her favor today. "Please don't tell me you broke the Squishy machine again."
A pause.
"Actually, no, please tell me you did, because I would love to work on the Squishy machine right now."
It was good, detailed, distracting work, and it would mean that Shunsui hadn't come in here for....other reasons.

"Actual business, Shunsui?" she asked.
Pardon her if she was feeling just a little bit skeptical about that this week.
