The Bookbelt, Saturday
The books were... quiet today.
Nina, like, knew better than to think that they were too quiet because that was just asking for trouble but she was side-eyeing them all the same as she cleaned the place up and put the newest books up on the shelves.
Even that was done quietly, with a few rustled pages here or there but nothing much more.
Deeply unsettled and suspicious, Nina eventually curled up in one of the reading chairs with a book and resolved just to... keep an eye on the situation.
