Atlas Gym, Monday (3/9)
Beau was just a little bit out of it today, and the Daylight Savings changeover could take the blame for that. Maybe the time zone difference, too; she'd spent the break week out in the Colorado wine country with Karolina, because going on food-and-wine adventures in different places was just their thing.
She hadn't quite been expecting the place to remind her a bit of Kamordah, though -- not a whole lot and not in a traumatizing way, but just enough for her to notice, and that had her just a little bit pensive on top of it all, too.
Still. It had been a nice trip, and Beau was actually helping the gym patrons out with minimal lapses into being an asshole. Lucky them.
[OOC:Who even knows what my week is going to look like, but assume epic SP. Oh wait, I called out sick today. Which doesn't guarantee I won't be asleep half the day, granted. Post is open, though!

The pause before she went on was very brief.
"You?"
Hey, look, you could develop social skills later on in life!

The grind was on dry land.
"Where did you go?"

That came out sounding heartfelt, but also ... very vehement, but that was probably to be expected when someone hated their hometown so much they started dissociating at the thought of having to go back there.
She glanced around the gym, smiling faintly. "Good to be home, to be honest."

The food part at least sounded good.

She gestured around the gym.
"Not gonna lie, there are definitely some upsides to not having to pick up random contracts to, like, go kill shit in the sewers just to get paid."
Even though she kinda liked getting paid to go kill shit in the sewers.
Because, you know. Sewers.
[[Iiiiiiiii fell asleep all afternoon, sorry!]]

Miss it less for that.

"Yeah, no. Giant teleporting spiders are fine, but gremlins, fuck no."

She was friends with one!

She paused.
"I mean, we got paid pretty well for that one, but still."
Probably not giving Rey any more of a favorable impression of your world there, Beau.

She'd just come from a world with garbage monsters.

She'd had to punch those rats. It was a sanitation nightmare.
