Everything in the store was in order. Breq almost wished that some island oddity would come and mess it up because it reminded her that there wasn't much to keep her busy here anymore. Groovy Tunes took very little effort to run, and now that she had arranged it the way it suited her, and made the basement comfortable enough to live in, what should she do? It wasn't like staying in orbit around a planet for decades, as some of her ancillaries would usually be planetside and she would be part of what was going on, and of course she had had her officers to care about. Here, now, anger and below that grief, had no purpose or outlet.

She made tea, just for the act of making it. Maybe someone would want a cup.
