Atlas Gym, Monday (4/13)
So. Beau had not just one, but two kids on her hands today, both of whom happened to share her penchant for being active to the point of restlessness most of the time. Good thing she worked at the gym, then -- she could just bring them to work with her and let them burn off some of that energy in a fairly safe way.
Jamie was mostly content to follow Beau around, but Casey had taken one look at the parkour course and immediately gone over to give that a try, which got Jamie cheering her on very loudly once they noticed what their sort-of-sister was up to. Beau, meanwhile, was busy spotting her, and occasionally calling out suggestions or -- clumsily -- cheering her on.
This was still weird, for the record. Kinda nice, but still kinda weird.

"Heyyyy, Aunt Beau," he greeted, all casual-like, knowing perfectly well she had no idea who he was.

She turned and looked at the kid, a slight frown creasing her forehead. "Okaaaaaaay, whose kid are you and why are you acting like I'm family?"
Which was not actually a complaint, as much as she made it sound like one. Honestly, that was kind of incredibly gratifying.

Jamie waved up at him. "Hi!"

“Me and my brother and sister,” he told her. “Tyrus and Hayley.”
“Who’s, uh. Who’s that?” he asked, with a nod towards the girl running the parkour course.

Beau just let out a tiny laugh that sounded halfway like a groan.

“One of those ‘Weird Fandom Things’, huh?” he continued, more or less to both of them. “So who’s her other mom?”

Beau, on the other hand, sounded kind of strangled.
Jamie concentrated a little bit, starting to glow in rainbow colors as they floated up about a foot off the floor to conspiratorially 'whisper' to William.
"Mom thinks it's funny, though. She keeps making faces."

"I'll bet she does," he snickered. And, you know, now that Jamie said it, William could totally see the resemblance to Yasha there. "She's a fast runner. Did you guys try racing yet?"
