Trooper Station; Monday [04/27].
There was, shockingly, no abundance of celery at the trooper station that day, although they were not completely free from it. Rosa had spent a good portion of her morning with her feet up on her desk, lobbing darts at a board she'd put up with ideas for what class she could teach over the summer on it, rejecting most of the ones she pegged for some reason or anything, and duly trying to ignore whatever commotion had grabbed the troopers' attentions.
Of course, she couldn't avoid it once Ralph (or maybe it was Calvin) came over to talk to her...and make a request.
"You want me to be a part of your vegetable hunting task force? This evening? Why can't it wait until tomorrow?"
"Because, Diaz," said Ralph (or Calvin, whatever), very serious, very dark, very grave, "the celery stalks at midnight."
"Out," said Rosa, pointing firmly at the door.
[[ *ba-da-ching* I regret nothing. OPEN! ]]
