The warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey was headed home for the weekend right after training, so she'd brought her bag along to bring with her, and tossed it down to keep it out of the way while she worked on some drills.

This was a mistake, as instead of doing any actual work, she was trying to keep a jerk woodchuck from getting into said bag, no matter how much she insisted there was nothing for him in there.

"Rey?" Anakin called out, coming into the warehouse. "--did the gremlin turn into a woodchuck?"

"No, this is just a woodchuck who hates me," she said, glaring at it as it tried to disappear into the bag.

Anakin glared at it. "Any particular reason for why it hates you?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Well... he probably doesn't have any actual feelings toward me, he just won't listen," she conceded.

"I've learned that about the woodchucks here," Anakin said, blatantly generalizing. "Huge jerks."

[thatwaslucky]

"Maybe not all of them," Rey said, pulling her bag away from it again. "Stop it. Not for you."

"I'm not planning on finding out," Anakin said, making a face. "They chucked wood at me when I first noticed them."

"They do that. It's not a plus." She snatched the bag, looking for a new place to store it for the time being. "she How are you doing today?"

"A woodland creature isn't stealing my stuff and my house doesn't bounce, so better than you?" Anakin said.

"Fine. Headed home for a bit after this," she said. "Very glad about your house."

Mostly glad.

"How long is a bit?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Just the weekend. I should be back by yoga," she told him. "I just haven't been there in a while and should check in."

"Be safe," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I will. It's seemed pretty quiet there, thankfully," she told him.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "That's always nice."

However brief it seemed to be.

"It is. Hopefully the First Order won't see the value in trying to destroy a planet with nothing on it," Rey shrugged.

"They strike you as being particularly rational?" Anakin wondered.

[thatwaslucky]

"No. But if there's no one to scare, why would they bother?" she said.

[sith_happened]

"Target practice?" Anakin replied.

[thatwaslucky]

"They get enough of that," Rey said wryly. "I think they more want the ability to intimidate people."

Steve rolled his eyes. "You don't need to practice that. You either have it or you don't."

[thatwaslucky]

"Well, they have it," Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"Committing mass murder will get you there," Anakin agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah. And they've been following us, it seems, so wherever we go tends to be fired on either after or as we're leaving." Which personally at least Rey was getting tired of.

"Tracking devices or spy?" Anakin asked.
