The Perk- Thursday afternoon

Jaina had showed up yesterday just to check in on things and ended up getting called on to get gross. Today she was not gross, and just trying to get some coffee.

Of course the barista had apparently suffered from a gremlin bite, and was trying to serve her while acting like a storybook princess who needed "latte" defined for her.

Jaina still hadn't gotten a drink yet, and was wondering if you could mind trick someone out of a gremlin bite.

"Jaunty, mind-numbing song," Anakin added.

"Speaking from experience?"

Just a guess.

[sith_happened]

"Of course not," Anakin blatently lied.

[solo_sword]

"Yeah, a gremlin would never bite you," Jaina nodded.

[sith_happened]

"They fear me," Anakin agreed, nodding.

They did not.

[solo_sword]

Jaina was over here, just smirking.

Smirking so much.

[sith_happened]

"Just for that, I'm not getting you a coffee," Anakin fake-threatened.

[solo_sword]

"At this rate I'm going to hop the counter and get one myself," Jaina pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"I'll cover you," Anakin said.

[solo_sword]

Jaina turned to the barista and waved her back. "Move it, princess."

And then she hopped the counter and asked Anakin, "What do you want?"

Unless it was black coffee, it would probably be terrible.

Anakin made bad choices, so, "Latte?"

[solo_sword]

"That's milk in it, right?" she asked, finding the container.

[sith_happened]

"The foamy kinds, yes," Anakin said, setting Jaina up for failure.

[solo_sword]

Jaina nodded.

She poured milk in after the coffee, put a lid on, then put in a little stopper and, holding the lid carefully, shook it vigorously.

Then she handed it over. "I'm not a professional."

"Good thing you have that Jedi Master Empress thing to fall back on," Anakin agreed.

[solo_sword]

"Being a barista might pay better," Jaina said, pouring herself a coffee. "Hi."

[sith_happened]

"Hi," Anakin said, grinning. "Did you have fun yesterday?"

[solo_sword]

"I got gross yesterday," Jaina said. "Thanks for that."

She'd had fun.

[sith_happened]

"You're welcome," Anakin said, grinning. "I was thinking we could try human bowling next week."

[solo_sword]

"I will not be here for that but I also want to see this in action," Jaina decided, setting her coffee on the counter to hop back over.

[sith_happened]

"I'll send you video," Anakin promised because he was a terrible person.

[solo_sword]

"Thank you. You ever think that maybe you're having too much fun with these things?"

She wasn't judging.

[sith_happened]

"I'm enjoying my job," Anakin said airily. "Especially the part where people get covered in pudding."

[solo_sword]

"How many of these ideas are given to you by Christopher?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

"About half," Anakin admitted. "He wanted human Hungry, Hungry Hippos. Have the twins discovered this dumb game?"
