The warehouse that isn't Rey's except how it's Rey's- Friday afternoon

Rey was back from her trip home, she had Summer's party later, and she was taking the time before training to just sit and relax for a while. Maybe try to meditate.

Which wasn't really possible since she could hear the woodchucks over there, just threatening to chuck some wood.

"I'm not dealing with you today," she warned.

Anakin came in, beaming. "I thought I felt you come back to the island!"

That's Jedi and weird, Anakin.

And Rey knew what that meant by now, so she smiled back.

"You did," she said. "I'm surprised I made it back in time, but it happened."

"Well, I'm glad you did," Anakin said. "All limbs accounted for?"

[thatwaslucky]

"No dismemberments, no permanent scars," she confirmed. "It was more adventurous than I thought it'd be, but it was good."

[sith_happened]

"Tell me what happened," Anakin said, leaning against a post and getting comfortable.

[thatwaslucky]

"I went on a routine supply run, and as we were leaving we received a distress call from Minfar," she began. "Turns out the First Order was breaking into an old Imperial lab to get the weapons there, so the people, the Zixon, called for help. We also almost got eaten a lot."

"Well, definitely don't let the First Order eat you," Anakin teased.

"Absolutely not," she smiled. "There were a lot of very large creatures with very large teeth. But some of them turned out to be okay."

Anakin glanced around. "You don't have a new friend, do you?"

[thatwaslucky]

"No," she laughed. "There were these flying creatures, twice the size of the Falcon. They helped with the First Order."

[sith_happened]

"That's...very large," Anakin admitted. "Did they eat the First Order? I'm not entirely opposed to that."

[thatwaslucky]

"Some of them," Rey said, making a face. She didn't like it, but also wouldn't complain. Maybe it would keep the creatures off the Zixon for a while, too. "Did you know anything about labs on Minfar?"

Anakin shook his head. "Nothing's coming immediately to mind."

[thatwaslucky]

Honestly, that was a relief.

"Good," she said honestly. "We don't know everything that's in there but people will have to make a return trip to go through it all."

Anakin made a little face. "It's that bad?"

[thatwaslucky]

"There was a weapon that could control the Zixon somehow," Rey told him. "I honestly don't know if there's anything else that bad. But it was definitely what the First Order was there for.

[sith_happened]

"Mind control?" Anakin said, making a face.

[thatwaslucky]

"The way they described it, their minds were their own. So they knew what they were doing and were unable to stop it," she explained.

[sith_happened]

"That sounds even worse," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's not great." She has some idea of what it was like. "We stopped them from getting it. We just happened to be in the right place to help."

[sith_happened]

"The Force in motion," Anakin said with a tiny smile.

[thatwaslucky]

"Apparently. It worked out," Rey said. "We have allies. Potentially weapons we can use. I might've figured some things out."

[sith_happened]

"What kind of things?" Anakin asked.

[thatwaslucky]

It still felt weird admitting things she'd done, but at the same time he was the person she should be telling this stuff to.

"The giant flying creatures? They were there because I asked them to be."

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "You can communicate with animals? I was always fairly terrible at that."
