There was a stack of towels on a table near the door of the animal shelter today, because, boy, were people gonna need 'em if they came in. There were kiddie pools everywhere, and you'd better believe that the animals (well...not the cats; the cats were making it very clear that they did not approve of this tom fuckery one bit and, Wayne suspected, intentionally popping the one that were inflatable) were making the most of it. Which was when when it came to the amphibians and the turtles who were just enjoying the extra moistness and room to swim around, but there were a lot of puppies in this place, and, well...

...by the end of the day, Wayne was pretty sure there'd be more water on the floors than in the actual pools.

But they were having fun, so who was he to stop them? What kind of monster would try and stop puppies playing in pools, perfectly pert and partying per their perogative in a completely non-pernicious and palatable perception?

He was just going to sit back and enjoy the cute before it was time to clean up and dry 'em off.
