Atlas Gym, Monday (7/13)
Beau couldn't say she wasn't glad last week was over with. Not so much for the laundry issue -- she'd gone for weeks without having any proper laundry done while on the road with the Mighty Nein, which also meant constantly being spattered with blood (a lot of it her own) and various weird bits of goop and viscera, so this was kind of nothing in comparison. The heat, though? That had been pretty much torture for someone who'd grown up accustomed to the constant chill of western Wynandir.
So despite the fact that all her currency had changed overnight and there were a few unexpected things like a stone axe, about 99 clumps of weeds, and a ladder in her pockets, this was a welcome change as far as she was concerned. She'd shaken an entire home pullup bar apparatus out of a tree on her way here, and that made no sense whatsoever but Beau wasn't going to complain about that.
(... it fit in her pockets, too, which was both hilarious and unsettling. Jester's enchanted pink haversack couldn't quite accommodate anything that big.)
Though the cheery, soothing music that kept playing, even here in the gym, miiiiiiiiight make her reconsider how much of a welcome change this really was after a while.
[OOC: I liiiiiiiiiiiive. Post is open!]

Yeah, he was going to ignore the deer. And make a serious mental note to go hunt down a goddamn therapist if he was going to end up stuck here for an extended period of time.
He did, however, nod in greeting to the human in the gym. "You new?"
Asked the new guy.

"Are you new?" she shot back, ever so maturely

"Yeah," he replied, gesturing broadly like here he was. Being new.

She wasn't totally unsympathetic.
"You get, like, randomly yanked here out of your world, or what?"
no subject
"Pretty much," Danny replied dryly. "Because sentient, abduction happy islands just weren't on my list of things to watch out for."

So yes. A lot of drinking.

"Just so you know, man, if you break one of the punching bags I will charge your ass for the repairs," she said, "but you also wouldn't be the first. Or the last, probably."
