The airport- Monday all day

Surely you'd noticed the airport with the seaplane docked in front of it by now. If you wanted to actually see inside of it, you'd find a tiny, one-room airport with chairs to wait in and a check-in desk manned by a dodo named Orville.

Did you want to get away from the island for a little bit? Go to the mainland? Visit deserted islands? Come on in! Let the dodos help you fly!

Ugh.

"What are your turnip prices?" Alexis asked, dramatic.

"We don't accept turnips here," Orville told her, kindly enough. "If you want to fly somewhere new, though, we're your birds!"

Alexis opened her mouth to bitch about turnips...

"You know what? Let's totally do that," she said instead, going through her purse to try and find her passport. "Love that journey for me."

"All right! Where would you like to go?" Orville asked, turning to his computer.

It was surprisingly easy to type on with wings. Don't ask.

"I don't even care," she said. "First flight out to wherever. Somewhere no one steals my clothes, and it's not the temperature of the sun, and I'm not surrounded by talking animals, no offense, but this isn't normal for me."

She paused. "Except for like, Freya, and then there are the cat people, and that one guy who shows up who's like a shark?"

Orville ignored that, even though it was sort of offensive. Instead he plugged the information into the computer.

"I'm ready to get you in the sky right this minute, but let's just check- you all packed? Tools all ready?"

Why would she need tools? She was escaping this place.

"Yeah, sure, I'll just buy everything I need once I get there."

"Ok- have a good flight, friend!" Orville said. "And when you need to travel, just think, 'what would dodos do?'"

Alexis frowned.

And then she tilted her head.

And then she said, "Okaaaaaaay," and went to board her flight.
