The Devil's Nest, Friday Night
As the doors to the club opened, Lucifer settled behind the piano. His opening number of the night was a familiar one - or rather, it would be, if your name had been Seivarden and you'd tripped over him on one particularly maudlin occasion.
He was counting a bit on no one else getting it, especially as he segued on to other modern piano pop later into the night.
"Bury me in armor when I'm dead and hit the ground, my nerves are poles... that unfroze... And if you love me, won't you let me know? If you love me, why'd you let me go?"

Have a Drink
Re: Have a Drink
So she was there, making her appeal, as planned to Tiny that, hey, people were going to buy her drinks, anyway, might as well cut out the middle man, and, if he did, she promised no more elaborate cocktails, just nice and simple drinks that required hardly any work at all on his part, and that she'd be sure to tip him generously for that hardly-any-at-all work, or she could continue to just ply complicated drink from other people. So they could do it the easy way...or the hard way.
It seemed like a good thing that he was listening to her appeal, albeit with obvious annoyance at her very presence by now, sighed, and went to go get a drink for her, filling her up with that surge of a thrill that it was actually working and making her feel entirely different about this whole plot...
Until he set in front of her a fancy soda of currently undetermined flavor, except aggressively pink.
"Come on! You're bustin' my balls, here, Tiny!"
He shrugged and walked away to go find something else to do, and she sucked in a breath before calling out, "You know, if you get fired, I can put in a good word for you with Kitty! Tino's really not all that bad to work with!"
But she knew it was falling on deaf ears at this point, so she sighed, looked down morosely at her soda for a moment, before reaching over the bar for a straw to plop into the bottle and start drinking it.
It actually was really good, whatever it was, but that wasn't the point.
She honestly wasn't sure what the point even was anymore.

"I considered something with cheap tea," she said. "But decided against it."
Re: Have a Drink
For about a second, until moved a little closer to a smirk.
"Just couldn't bring yourself to order it, huh?" she guessed.
Re: Have a Drink
She sipped her whisky.
"Good week?"
Re: Have a Drink
Nor was he listening to you, Summer, but nice try.
"Which is why I appreciate you trying to be nice," she added. "So thank you. Congratulations." She lifted the drink in a toast. "You succeeded."
And she drank before asking, "How was your week?"

Talk to Lucifer
Re: Talk to Lucifer
"Sounds like you need s drink," she said, walking over to him when he had finished playing. Offering him one of the two she had brought, she leaned against the piano.
"Did you get some sleep?"
Re: Talk to Lucifer
After staring at the bouncer for a few good long moments when he said he'd have to mark her hand with an X because she didn't have identification. She could completely respect the local laws that dictated she couldn't drink in this establishment, even if they didn't make any sense, but that was absolutely not happening.
They settled on an X on her cheek as a compromise, even though it left her shaking her head as she made her way in, looked around, and found Seivarden.
"It's a shame I haven't actually been in here before," she offered as a greeting with a faint smile. "It really is nice, isn't it? But I wouldn't have expected anything less."
Re: Talk to Lucifer
"This is Tisarwat, whom I mentioned. I'm glad I finally get to introduce you."
Re: Talk to Lucifer
"And thank you. I'd say 'we did our best', but if I left Eric to his devices, it would be all axe throwing and dead DJs."
Re: Talk to Lucifer
But, still, she smiled. "It's nice to finally meet you," she said,
"and to hopefully have more than just a face to go with the name. And, I have to admit, the axe-throwing does seem...wildly out of place. While I can understand the appeal of such barbaric displays of hubris and power for those with less sophisticated ways of expressing them, it's a mix that makes for an odd cocktail to be served here."
Tisarwat actually couldn't give one tit about the axe range. If this was a conversation with Amaya, she'd be singing its praises. But it didn't take much attention to finer details to know that Lucifer was hardly a fan.
Re: Talk to Lucifer
A hint about wanting to buy Tisarwat a proper cocktail.

'Some' being the operative word here. He reached for the drink. "Did you? How's that hangover?"

Don't jinx yourself, Seivarden.

He was buying the smoked salmon one, just for the look on Tiny's face.
