Last week, Amaya had been a bit...called out for allowing a bit of mush into her movie night, and so she'd vowed, of course, to compensate for it by making sure to pick something extra explody and extra exciting for this week's film.

"Hey, everyone," she greeted everyone once when they'd all gotten around to the mingling and the snack-gathering. "We're going to mix it up a little bit this week with something more in the thrilling action genre, so a big departure from last week, but it's one of my favorites, so I hope everyone enjoys it and has a good time, but if things blowing up isnt' something you particularly care for, it might be a good time to duck out and call it a night."

Or not, because you'd actually be fine. Because once Amaya did go ahead and dim the light and push play, the movie that was playing was decidedly not actiony or explody.

"Ah, zards," said Amaya, smacking the video player with her fist, which did little except make the image jump slightly, "it's started with this already."

So now she just had to decide whether or not to just stick through it or toss the whole thing right out the window...

Plenty of popcorn for a movie like this, as well as other moddable snacks and drinks, but come on in, show up, and mingle a bit before the movie, because, let's face it, it's just as much if not more about the mingle than the movie, anyway!

Tisarwat definitely planned to try and make this a regular thing for her, even of it turned out Lucille might not care to. If anything, the entertainments were interesting, and the host was not only charming in her own rustic way, but she knew she could depend on Amaya to have good tea available, which was always a nice bonus.

And Shunsui was there, of.course, in his efforts to support Movie Class-chan's pursuit of living up to her nickname, provide everyone with sake, and engage it what was the easiest, laziest form of socialization he could possibly hope for.

And Liam was definitely still doing his best to do that whole mingling... thing. Plus, you know. Free snacks.

"Welcome back, Liam," Amaya said, glad to ~~have someone to talk to who wasn't herself~~ see him there again, although, really, after last week, she wasn't surprised. "How's your week been?"

"Bit of a rough start," Liam admitted, running a hand through his hair, expression on his face that hopefully conveyed that he didn't really want to get into the details of that. "But things are looking up, I think."

Luckily for him, then, Amaya was just the sort of person who was willing to offer a slightly sympathetic look at an answer like that but not a step further, if she could help it.

"Well," she said, "that's good to hear. I hope it keeps that way for you, too."

In 1850 Oregon, when a backwoodsman brings a wife home to his farm, his six brothers decide that they want to get married too.

Sometimes, there were moments when Earth entertainments could manage to make something click into place for Tisarwat and help her to understand certain.aspects of the culture that had previously mystified her.

This was not one of those moments at all.

If you can manage to get her palm off her face, anyway.

Because this one? This one's a rough one, ooooof.

Also, I don't actually know what movie Amaya was going to original show, but it was probably Ball Fondlers. Jus' sayin'.
