Another Wednesday, another Movie Night, and another attempt by Amaya to stay a little more on theme with the assembly from earlier that day, on account of the fact that her efforts to go off of it last week had lead to less than enjoyable results (from her point of view, anyway).

"Welcome back, everyone," Amaya adressed the class as a whole once everyone had gotten their snacks and some of their mingling in. "Since the school had focused on cleaning and redecorating the island a bit in preparation for the visitors this weekend, I figured I'd dredge up a film that's sort of on the same topic, although a little more focused on a house. Now, for those of you who are actually here to expand your knowledge of modern Earth entertainment tropes and themes, this here's sort of a comdey-drama with some rom-com elements added to it, which I'm personally not a big fan of, and as a craftsman, there's a lot of this film that I find frustrating, but, honestly, I'm a little worried about what I'd get instead if I tried to go for something I find a little more palatable, so we're sticking with this just to be on the safe side."

And, with that, the lights were dimmed and the movie could begin.

Grab some snacks, chat it up with your fellow movie classmates, compliment that presumably lovely cleaning and decorating efforts that had been made on the outside of the community center earlier that day!

After picking up a few biscuits and pouring herself a cup of tea, Lucille found a seat, looking around for someone she might know.

"Lucille." Amaya, of course, would make the rounds in chatting everyone up before they actually got in on the movie, giving her a nod and a faint grin in greeting. "Good to see you. How've you been?"

"Quite well, thank you. And yourself?"

Lucille smiled.

"How is your business going?"

"Business has seen a bit of an uptick," Amaya admitted with a grin, "and if business is doing well, then I'm doing well. I remembered there's some potential with the winter holidays coming up, so I hope that gives me a little something more to do, but at least I've got my classes to keep me busy in the meantime."

"Oh, you make Christmas presents?" Lucille inferred. "What kind of things?"

"Mostly weapons," Amaya snorted a little, "if I'm lucky, but I'm open to new ideas and challenges, as well. I just have one rule, and that's no anonymous gifts." She nodded a little, as if that would make the rule more firm. "We've had...problems with that, in the past."

"Oh?" Lucille said. "But as long as it's a nice gift, who would mind an anonymous one? Unless they are too curious, of course."

"Or they don't like the answer of who sent it once they figure it out," Amaya murmured dryly, shaking her head.

"That does sound... complicated."

Lucille smiled.

"Extremely so," Amaya, blue eyes slightly wide remembering, shook her head. "Therefor? No more anonymous gifts. I try to avoid complicated when I can, especially when there are bladed weapons and very strong people behind them."

A young couple struggles to repair a hopelessly dilapidated house.

The movie was disturbing. Lucille couldn't help thinking of the hole in the roof at Allerdale Hall, the damp, the cold and the fact that it was built on top of an unstable clay mine.

She tried not to make her feelings obvious.

Though you could be setting yourself up for a rant on the importance of hiring trained professionals for this sort of thing.
