The Toopers used their blackmail material from the gremlin bite to get out of their run this morning, so Steve used that extra time to pull up the Monterey Bay Aquarium and make a donation to the otters for no reason.

He didn't miss Kailani.
He was using all of his trick to get the station's kitty to come out and sit with him today entirely to prove she liked him more than Danny. And no other reason. Really.
